Megan Hinman, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

A woman with short red hair, wearing glasses and a grey sweater, taking a selfie outdoors with trees and a sidewalk in the background.

Megan's niche is trauma and EMDR work — especially for clients who understand their patterns intellectually but still feel stuck, looking for something beyond insight alone. She also specializes in faith integration, weaving faith into treatment for clients who want it, without pushing it on those who don't. Alongside trauma, she works with anxiety, depression, ADHD, attachment wounds, and a large number of veterans and military clients. Her approach is honest, compassionate, and faith-friendly. She works with adults only.

Before Lyons Center, Megan served as a clinical case manager and therapist with the Houston County Health Accountability Court, running psychoeducation and therapy groups and providing individual counseling and case management for a high-needs population.

Megan and her husband spent over a decade moving with the U.S. Air Force — including a posting in Kyoto, Japan — before settling in Georgia, experience that informs her work with military families. She homeschools her children and holds a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University (2024) and a bachelor's in Psychology from Central Washington University.

If you have a goal, want to feel better, or just feel stuck, I’m here for you.
