Bettina Lyons, MA, LMFT
Founder and Owner of Lyons Center, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT-Approved Clinical Supervisor
Bettina works with strained relationships, communication and intimacy difficulties, blended families, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and teens, using the Gottman Method for couples work. She also provides clinical supervision to pre-licensed and provisionally licensed therapists as an AAMFT-approved supervisor.
She's a mom to five children in a blended family of five teens (and a dog named Max). Her husband grew up in Warner Robins; she grew up in northern Minnesota.
Bettina earned her Master of Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2005, after a bachelor's in psychology from the University of North Dakota. Before opening her own practice, she worked in a residential treatment facility for teen boys involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice, with an Intensive Family Intervention team, with low-income families in Springfield, MA, and as a therapist and clinical director in a community outpatient program with foster children in Macon, Georgia. That range of experience is part of why she opened her own practice — and later grew it into the team it is today.
