Jashawna is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who is deeply committed to supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate life’s most formative and often challenging seasons. With a strong clinical background and a compassionate, grounded presence, she works alongside clients who are trying to make sense of their experiences, clarify their next steps, and build emotional resilience.

Originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jashawna brings both discipline and heart into her work—qualities she cultivated early as a competitive and game day cheerleader. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Coastal Carolina University in 2019, where her passion for understanding human behavior and emotional development deepened.

Following graduation, Jashawna gained hands-on experience working as a Family Interventionist and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), providing direct support to children and families in need of structured behavioral interventions supporting those in foster care and children with autism. She later expanded her clinical exposure in higher-acuity settings, serving as a Mental Health Technician in a psychiatric hospital and as an Activity Therapist within the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). These roles allowed her to work closely with individuals experiencing significant emotional and behavioral challenges, strengthening her ability to remain calm, structured, and solution-focused in complex situations.

Jashawna earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2023. During her practicum and internship in Augusta, Georgia, she provided community-based counseling services, working with diverse populations facing a wide range of mental health concerns.

Shortly after graduating, Jashawna relocated to Macon, Georgia, where she continued to broaden her clinical expertise. She has worked in outpatient settings, private practice, and as first responder crisis support, gaining valuable experience across levels of care. She also served within the district setting, where she has gained the most extensive experience working directly with youth and families. This role has allowed her to deepen her specialization in school-related challenges, emotional regulation, and family dynamics.

Jashawna became a licensed Associate Professional Counselor (APC) in October 2025. She has experience working with clients experiencing Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Bipolar Disorder, depression, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, anger management issues, relational difficulties, school struggles, and complex family systems. She also provides family therapy to support improved communication and relational healing.

Jashawna’s clinical style is supportive, direct, and developmentally informed. She especially enjoys working with adolescents and young adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about their future. Whether navigating identity development, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, or major life transitions, she strives to create a space where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of growth.

Her goal is to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop confidence in who they are becoming. Jashawna believes therapy should be both a safe space and a space for meaningful change—and she is honored to walk alongside her clients in that process.
